Police are appealing for witnesses after a pair of newlyweds were burgled.

The couple left their house on Westerton Road, Tingley, Leeds at 12.20pm on Friday to get married.

Having tied the knot, they returned at 8.55am the next day.

It was between these times that the burglary happened.

The bride’s engagement ring was stolen along with a Pandora bracelet, a Gucci watch and two laptops.

The groom’s passport was also stolen - preventing them going on their honeymoon.

The engagement ring is distinctive and is engraved with ‘I LOVE YOU LYNDSEY’ inside the band.

Any witnesses to this crime are asked to contact PC Deborah Farley on 101.
