Next year is looking good already

Have your say

THE new year may be months away but you’ll need to be quick to get your hands on this year’s Hebden Bridge calendar.

Amateur photographer Vanessa Kay took over from Geoff Boswell last year and her first calendar sold out before Christmas.

Vanessa, who lives in Blackshaw Head, is a freelance textile designer who snaps the local landscapes at all opportunities.

The calendar includes snaps of the lock gates at Brearley, the moorland, Stoodley Pike, a view over the Colden Valley and Gibson Mill.

This year’s calendar, which costs £4.99, has been printed by The Print Bureau, also in the town.

The calendar is available from Oasis News, Hebden Visitor Centre, Spirals, and SK News as well as Todmorden Tourist Information Centre.

In Halifax it is available from the Tourist and Visitor Centre at the Piece Hall and Wade’s Stationer.

Vanessa hopes by the end of August it will be on sale in most post offices.
