A RIPPONDEN pub will be full of famous characters on Easter Sunday for a fundraising night.
Sarah Tooby, manager of the Silk Mill, has organised a disco and wants people to dress as their favourite hero.
Money raised will be split between Help for Heroes and Medecins sans Frontiers (Doctors without Borders) which sends medical support to troublespots.
Sarah said: “Quite a few local boys are in the Army.”
Sarah’s daughter Gemma, 19, joined the Army last year. She works in PR and is with the Royal Logistic Corps, which will shortly be off to Canada for training before deployment in Afghanistan earlynext year.
Sarah’s brother, Jamie Wilson, of Sowerby Bridge, is raising funds by attempting the 85-mile Isle of Man Parish Walk in June.
