FAX player turned film star Adam Fogerty is backing his former club’s campaign for Super League status.
Adam followed his dad Terry into Halifax RLFC after a spell as a professional boxer.
He played for Fax from 1991-1993, scoring eight times in his 38 appearances before moving to St Helens.
He has since gone on to find film fame in Snatch, Brassed Off, Mean Machine and Green Fingers.
He is currently in the new Churchill TV advert.
Fax director Mike Riley said: “Adam is hoping that the club makes Super League or he might have to phone his mate Vinnie Jones to help him put a little pressure on the RFL.”
