NSPCC Calderdale’s treasurer has retired after three decades of dedicated service.

Keith Lyons, director of LRH Wealth Management Ltd, has actively engaged in fundraising for the children’s charity.

Mr Lyons was instrumental in the creation of the NSPCC Golf Day in 2003 - which has since been held annually at West End Golf Club, Paddock Lane, Halifax, and has raised over £130,000 for the charity, to date.

NSPCC community fundraising manager Helen Verity said: “It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Keith who has made a positive difference to children’s lives over the years, as treasurer. I wish him all the very best with his retirement.”

Mr Lyons said: “I’ve made some great friends over the years and I feel honoured to have been a part of helping to make a difference to the lives of local children. I wish Carol all the best in her new role as treasurer.”

Carol Watkinson, finance director of HB Projects Ltd, will take over as NSPPC Calderdale treasurer.
