The ‘New Ebenezer’, St James Road, Halifax, unveiled its new look after a revamp in which a stage has been installed upstairs for function and corporate use.

Improvements have been made to the upstairs and downstairs of the former Methodist worship church.

Circuit steward for Calderdale Methodist Church Elaine Manship said: “We want to encourage various people and groups to use the centre.

“Improving the site has allowed for the central centre to continue to be used by the community rather than seeing another church standing lonely and derelict.”

The circuit steward hopes to raise capital for futher improvements - including disabled access to Ebenezer Church.
