We regard Halifax as our home town

Welcome back. But it seems Queensbury folk feel they never went away

Welcome back. But it seems Queensbury folk feel they never went away

People in Queensbury all refer to Halifax as ‘their’ town

If they say they are going to town, they mean Halifax. They just do not feel they are part of Bradford. The 1974 split should never have happened. Shelf certainly got the best part of that deal. Roll on the day we become part of Halifax. It can’t come soon enough.

Queensbury into Halifax?
Great idea. Hurry up and do it before it’s too late!

Paul Boocock

Myself and all my neighbors consider Halifax as our town. I shop, bank and worked in Halifax, read the Courier not the T&A and would love to have the HX postcode. And I was born in Bradford but feel no connection with it.

Carol Harvey

My husband & I have lived in Ambler Thorn (between Queensbury & Halifax) for the last 21 years. We are very close to the Halifax boundary and only two miles from Halifax town centre. We have always considered Halifax our home town and the place we do our shopping, etc. We seldom go into Bradford city centre. We would be pleased to join with Halifax and Calderdale Council.

It’s a Yes from me!

Just heard the story about a change of postcode for Queensbury from BD to a HX.
It’s a yes from me and a yes from lots of the the good folk of Queensbury.
Perhaps thats why all the walls have been strengthened round our boundaries !!!
