I was delighted with the American Presidential election results.
There’s no doubt that, on many domestic and foreign issues, Obama has been a progressive force for good. His health care and social policy reforms have benefitted millions of Americans.
There are important issues facing the world over the next four years.
We should be relieved that it is Obama and the Democrats who will tackle them, rather than Romney and the Republicans.
The acceptance speech of the victor underlined his powers of oratory. I think the next four years will see a more radical President on the domestic front, without some of the unnecessary foreign interventions we have seen in the last two decades.
