Halifax Charity Gala is taking shape at Manor Heath Park.

Organisers are already busy preparing for tomorrow’s event now in its 56th year with all sorts of entertainment lined up.

The day will begin with a procession starting at Eureka car park at 12.30pm and passing through the town centre before coming to a finish at Manor Heath Road around an hour later.

There will be the usual attractions there this year including charity stalls, go-karts and fairground rides, as well as special stunts from a mountain bike display team.

The Mayor of Calderdale, Coun Ann Martin, will officially open proceedings following by a prize presentation to the winner of the West Yorkshire Fire Service Safe and Sound art competition.
