OWLS will be winging their way back to Mill Bank as residents prepare to search for their feathered friends.

Craft workshops are being held between 10am and 2pm today and tomorrow at St Mary’s Primary School, where families will be shown how to make the model birds.

Their creations will then be dotted around the village for the annual owl hunt on Thursday.

It starts at 6.30pm, when route maps and quiz sheets will be available from the school.

A fully licensed bar, food and live entertainment will also be on offer.

Real owls and other birds of prey will also be swooping in to visit St Mary’s pupils on the day.

Organisers are seeking sponsors to adopt the model owls, costing £15 for families or £25 for businesses to display their name and a message next to one of the creations.

Anyone interested can contact the school on 01422 823 353.
