Groovy peace and love vibes were spilling from the dance floor at Elland cricket club in a fundraising event for a cancer charity.
Alison Hall, 28, of Ripponden, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia when she was 15 and now her cancer is in remission, she held a 60s and 70s themed fundraiser for The Laura Crane Trust charity which supported her and her family while she was ill.
Groovy guests partied to the ‘rad beats’ on the 1960s and 70s and wore ‘way-out’ outfits typical of the era.
Alison said: “We had a great night, lots of money was made and lots of people dressed up.”
Donations and a silent auction raised £1,7000 for the charity with more proceeds to come.
