Kids at Halifax train station had to cycle for their smoothies when Northern Rail held a safe-biking session.

Passers-by were given the chance to climb on a bike, which was specially adapted to include a blender on the back, and pedal until the drink was made.

Professional cycle trainers were also on hand to give one-to-one advice on cycling and how to stay safe when on the road.

They also provided the public with information on cycle to work schemes.

Northern Rail recently installed 10 covered cycle stands, which hold 20 bikes, at the station and want to encourage more people to cycle to the station.
