A WOMAN who stole seven bottles of perfume from a Halifax supermarket has been sentenced by magistrates.
Hilda Boland, 48, of City Lane, Wheatley, Halifax, admitted stealing the goods from Asda in Thrum Hall Lane on January 26 and 27.
She hid the perfume in her jacket and left without paying.
The alarm was eventually raised several days later when a stock check found that several boxes of perfume were missing.
Security guards at the store then examined CCTV footage which showed Boland taking the goods.
She also admitted shoplifting from Marks and Spencers at the Owlcotes Shopping Centre in Pudsey, Leeds.
On that occasion she worked with an accomplice who filled a trolley full of clothes worth £1,282 and left it unattended in the store.
Boland then entered and tried to take the trolley out, again without paying.
She was given a 12 month community order, 12 months supervision and told to pay £295 in fines.
