Hard working organisers are planning to make it a hat-trick of successes when they stage the third Rastrick Beer Festival later this month.

The third festival is scheduled to be staged in the community hall at St John’s Church, Rastrick, which is off Gooder Lane.

The organisers have decided that the charities to benefit from this year’s festival are the Calder Valley Search and Rescue Service, the Alzheimer’s Society (Calderdale Service) and the local Marie Curie nursing services.

This week the chairman of the organising committee, Roger Ellis, said they were planning to build on the undoubted success of the two previous festivals and they were confident this latest event would be just as successful.

This year’s festival will run from 3pm until 10.30pm on Friday, September 20 and from 1pm until 10.30pm on Saturday September 21. Food will also be available.
