A MAN who stopped a taxi driver who drove away from an accident is being urged to contact police.
Officers were called to the junction of Long Lane and Boy Lane in Wheatley, Halifax, at 9.50pm on Saturday to reports that a motorbike and a taxi had crashed.
A 19-year-old man who was riding the motorbike suffered wrist and leg injuries.
Police say the taxi driver drove between 200 and 300 yards from the crash when he was stopped by a member of the public who took his keys.
The man handed the keys to another witness and said he had to go.
Officers are urging that member of the public to call them as they believe he may be able to help with their investigations into the accident.
The man should call the Western Area Roads Policing Team on 01274 376219.
