Police appeal after boy hit by car that mounted pavement in Leeds

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy was injured in Leeds when he was hit by a car that had mounted the pavement and then drove off.

The accident happened at around 5pm on Saturday just off the A63 Selby Road, close to railway bridge and the junction with the A64 York Road.

The boy was walking on the pavement with his mum when the small blue car came out from an unmade road at the side of a takeaway and hit him.

He suffered an arm injury.

The vehicle then made off turning left and going under the railway bridge.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone with information about the car or it’s occupants to come forward.
