Police appeal after driver is killed in collision in Leeds

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Leeds.

A 58-year-old man from Leeds was pronounced dead at Leeds General Infirmary following a collision involving the Rover 25 car he was driving and a BMW 520 estate on the A6120 outer ring road at Moortown at about 5.50pm yesterday (Friday).

The incident happened about 200 metres west of the junction with Roundhay Park Lane as the Rover was travelling towards Roundhay and the BMW towards Moortown.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to it is asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team via 101.
