Police appeal after racist remark made outside school

A racist remark was made by one woman to another near a school in Todmorden.

Police are appealing for wintnesses of the incident on Wednesday, September 23 between 8.45am and 8.55am on Halifax Road near Castle Hill Primary School.

A woman dealing with a child who had fallen made a remark towards another woman as she walked past.

PC Frances Combes, of Calderdale Neighbourhood Investigation Unit, said: “This incident happened around the time when pupils were being dropped off at the nearby school.

We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw what happened.”
