Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured after a road traffic collision on the A6107 Bradley Road, Huddersfield on Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at 5.10pm on the 16 October on Bradley Road at the junction with Upper Quarry Road.

A blue coloured Renault Megane was travelling along Bradley Road and was turning right onto Upper Quarry Road when it and the motorbike - an Aprilia Dorsoduru 750cc model - were in collision.

The motorbike was being ridden along Bradley Road in the opposite direction to the Megane.

As a result of the incident the male motorcyclist - who is from Mirfield - was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where his condition is described as critical but stable.

PC Alan Wilson, of the Western Area Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team, said: “I would appeal for any witnesses to the incident to contact PC myself in the Western Area Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team on 101.”
