Police appeal for witnesses after fatal crash

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after a 51-year-old local woman died following a road traffic collision in Bradford yesterday.

The incident occurred at 5.16pm yesterday (April, 20)) on Mandale Road, Buttershaw, and involved two vehicles; a taxi and a black BMW.

The 51-year-old suffered fatal injuries after both vehicles collided as she paid the taxi fare.

The only occupant of the BMW, a 21-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.

Two other men, aged 19 and 17, have also been arrested on the same charge and remain in custody. No-one else is currently being sought in connection with the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle in the area beforehand.
