Police appeal for witnesses to Wyke collison


Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which occurred in Wyke on 17 September.

At around 10:30am, a white taxi struck a 66 year old local man crossing Huddersfield Road on a mobility scooter.

The scooter overturned and left the rider with bruising to his knee. The taxi subsequently failed to stop, leaving the scene at speed.

It is believed the vehicle may have damage as a result of the incident.

Anyone with information about the current location of the vehicle is being asked to come forward, as well as any witnesses to the incident itself.
