Five members of Elland Silver Band visited Northern Ireland to take part in the 12th July Orange Day Parades in Ballinamallard, Co Fermanagh.
They were the guests of Maguiresbridge Silver Band, and played with them on the parade.
Maguiresbridge band member Ryan Kells has been playing with Elland Silver whilst studying at Huddersfield University, and several Maguiresbridge members came over to England to experience the Whit Friday contests last year.
David Armitage, Solo Horn of Elland Silver, was one of the guests, and said: “The parade was an amazing experience! We were one of over 70 bands taking part, in front of around 10,000 spectators.
“I’m sure most people in mainland Britain associate Orange Day parades with the violence in Belfast but we experienced a fantastic music festival and overwhelming hospitality. We hope to return, and arrange for Maguiresbridge to take part in one of our march contests.”
