A health charity offering advice and training has been granted permission to expand its services in Hebden Bridge.
X-pert Health has been given approval for its plans to convert part of Linden Works on Linden Road in Hebden Bridge, where it is currently based, to include overnight accommodation, a swimming pool, gym and living accommodation.
The move would mean the social enterpise, which is a registered charity and works with the NHS, could offer more advice, treatment and education for people with and the people who help people with conditions including diabetes and arthritis.
The bid had received 13 letters of objection and one in support.
Calderdale Council planning committee member Councillor Stephen Baines (Northowram and Shelf, Cons) said he hoped the plans would be beneficial to health provision in the area. He also hoped the work would improve the state of the back of the building.
