Organisers have promised the biggest and brightest ever Calderdale Pride with a fun-filled day on Saturday at the Piece Hall.
The annual extravaganza will feature X-factor finalist Johnny Robinson as headline star on the stage to wow spectators, with the fun kicking off at noon until 6pm on June 16.
Also featuring on the stage will be artists including Valentino King, O’Hooley and Tidow, Chasing Dragons, Whiter Than, Pracilla and singer/songwriter Darren Smith.
There will also be stalls selling goods ranging from cup cakes to jewellery and accessories as well as children’s entertainment, fairgound rides, circus skills and poetry.
Food stalls will sell tasty treats including Thai food, hog roast, fish and chips and paninis will be available as well as a bar.
Kirk Hopewell, joint chairman, said: “Calderdale Pride has been innovative after four years, going from a small musical event in to a large festival-style celebration of diversity of Calderdale’s community, welcoming all, with attractions and entertainment for all tastes.
“We’re hoping that all the people of Calderdale - whatever their background - will embrace this event.”
An after-party has been organised at the Imperial Crown Hotel with guest DJ Lady Heidi. Wristbands will be available at Calderdale Pride.
