Probe into two fires in Halifax town centre this morning

FIREFIGHTERS are investigating whether two blazes in Halifax town centre is the early hours of today are linked.

Crews were called to Crown Street at 4am to a fire in a wheelie bin which had been pushed up against the side of a shop.

Then, 20 minutes later, they were called to put out a pile of empty mail sacks piled up at the sortign office on Gaol Lane.

Anyone with information about the fires should call police via 101.
