Ferrovial – the owners of AMEY, the company that Calderdale Council has a £120 million contract with for highways maintenance across the district, removed sub-contractor EIS from its Crossrail project, meaning 28 workers were out of a job.

Unite believes the blacklisting has resulted in discrimination and unemployment, poverty, family and mental breakdown, and is campaigning for change.

Unite the Union is protesting outside Halifax Town Hall this lunch time over the Ferrovial Crossrail ‘Blacklist’ scandal.
