The future of Brighouse and Elland fire stations still hangs in the balance after the decision for a new station at Rastrick was delayed for a second time.
Councillors decided to defer the decision, after being updated by a council officer only minutes before the application was due to be heard, until they received clarification regarding the noise levels at night.
Calderdale Council’s Planning Committee was told they had got the noise surveys about outdoor activities that take place typically at a fire station but there had been no consideration given to the summer evenings when outdoor drills could be held.
This was the second time the plans were due to be heard about the proposed new station in Clough Lane, Rastrick. In December the application was withdrawn to allow it to be advertised as affecting a public right of way.
A new date will be set for the application to heard by the committee once the survey has been completed.
