The RNLI Halifax chairman picked up a bronze medal in honour of his achievements with the branch.

Dave Gledhill is working hard with the branch members to raise £50,000 for the lifesaving charity’s local ’50 for 50’ campaign.

Dave, who collected his bronze badge in recognition of his achievements with the RNLI at York racecourse on Sunday June 30, said: “I feel very proud to have received this award.

“The award not only recognises individual success, but also the efforts of the branch as a whole in raising funds for the RNLI, whose volunteers save lives at sea.”

Anyone wishing to help fund-raise should call Dave on 07758193805. They are also looking for more volunteers.
