The Robin Hood pub in Cragg Vale will saddling up for next year’s Tour de France by hosting a local photgraphy exhibition.

Residents in Cragg Vale have been asked to submit their snaps of all things cycle-related for a special 2014 calendar.

But the photos will also form part of an art exibition between June 29 and July 21 this year at the pub, which has just installed a new bike sign outside to encourage more riders to pop in for a pint.

Landlord Roger Wood said: “It’s just to show that we’re cycle-friendly. We get a lot of cyclists who come in for a meal or a drink.

“We’re on the route so there’ll be a few things going on linked to the Tour, like a time trial up the hill and we’ll hopefully put a little prize up for the winner.”

Any entries for the calendar must be submitted by April 30.

Photographs can be sent to cycles@craggvale.co.uk or be uploaded to the Facebook page Tour de Cragg Art and must include the location and the sender’s name and details.
