Charitable cyclists took to the saddle last Sunday to tackle the Calderdale Mountain Bike Marathon.
The gruelling 26-mile ride was organised by the 24th St. Paul’s Scout Group, based in Sowerby Bridge.
The ride took place in beauty spots across the region, including Hebden Bridge, Hardcastle Crags and Grain Water Bridge.
Tony Gledhill, Group Scout Leader at 24th St. Paul’s, said: “The weather was very nice and we had 350 entries - I’m hoping that we’ll raise around £3,000. The funds raised from the challenge will go towards buying new equipment for the group and also subsidising activities for youngsters.”
He extended his thanks to the volunteers and sponsors who made the mountain bike challenge possible.
