A team of volunteers has helped spruce up Salterhebble Lock after a clean-up of the area.
Elaine Scott, who organised the makeover, said: “It was very successful. There were 14 of us who took part - a mixture of local residents and people from further away.
“The aim was to clear the Himalayan Balsam from the locks, which keeps all the local plants from growing.
“It was a beautiful day, we had a regular supply of tea and coffee and Shire Cruises very kindly lent us a boat to use for the day.”
