Bon appetite! Ella and George trying out their croissants

These pupils from Salterlee Primary School are tucking into their early morning croissants as part of their traditional French Breakfast.

Ella McNamara, 10 and George Taylor, nine, were among the many pupils who tried breakfast with a continental favour.

The annual school fund raiser was organised by Macreena Bailey-Wood, who teaches French at the school once a week.

Children and parents came together to eat french bread and jam. The children also put on some sketches for the parents, showing them what they had learned over the previous year.
