Detectives are looking for thieves who almost hit a woman while stealing a car.

A 28-year-old woman had parked her white Audi in the driveway of a house in Wakefield Road, Lightcliffe, when four men walked into the garden.

One of them got into the car and drove off, almost hitting the owner’s mother, throwing her backwards to the ground.

It is thought the suspects had arrived in a grey Japanese-style hatchback.

Anyone with information about the theft, between 10.30pm and 10.45pm on Monday, should call Detective Constable Richard Drabble in Halifax CID on 01422 337087 or CrimeStoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111
