GET your microphones ready for this year’s musical themed Norland Scarecrow Festival.
The annual takeover of the village by straw-stuffed characters takes place between September 2 and 5.
This year’s theme is popstars and groups and characters being brought back to life by community groups, schools and villagers include Elvis and all of the Beatles.
Material girl Madonna is also expected to grace the fields of Norland with her presence as will her modern-day copycat Lady Gaga.
Now in its 11th year the festival raises money for the community, including the church and school.
Already 60 people have signed up to make their scarecrows.
Last year the winning scarecrow was Scooby Doo with second place going to the Flintstones and third place to Dr. Who.
This year there will be a second giant scarecrow in the village on Moor Bottom.
Entertainment will be provided over the weekend by the Friendly and Hebden Bridge bands.
The Deputy Mayor Peter Wardhaugh will visit.
