A special World War One week at St. John’s Primary Academy, Clifton, gave children at the school a chance to pay their own remembrance commemoration.
Pupils from all year groups have taken part to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War.
Brighouse artist Roger Davies visited the school to teach the children how to play his new single ‘Wear Your Poppy With Pride’ - all proceeds of which will be donated to the Royal British Legion.
Artist Lynn Lawson also visited the school to create some remembrance-themed poppy paintings.
Helen Lever, headteacher at the school, said: “The work that the children are doing is lovely - they all look amazing.”
The artwork went on display at art exhibition at the school and money raised from the exhibition will be donated to the Royal British Legion.
