Search and rescue team help after car overturns

RESCUERS were called to help when this Mini Cooper came off the road and overturned near Cragg Vale.

The accident happened at 12.25am yesterday on Turvin Clough Road.

The passenger managed to climb out and flag down a passing car for help.

Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team carried the 18-year-old driver to a waiting ambulance.

He was taken to Calderdale Royal Hospital with leg and arm injuries and later released.

The rescue team rely on donations to raise the £30,000 they need each year.
