SHOPPERS snapped up more than £1,000 of designer bargains at a designer day.
The Overgate Hospice charity shop in Halifax saved their best designer and unused gear to raise vital funds for the Elland-based hospice.
Their £1,116 total was double last year’s takings. Shop manager Michelle Greenwood thanked her volunteers and the old and new customers.
Retail manager Tracey Broadbent said: “The dedication of our staff and volunteers in ensuring that we raise as much money as possible from events such as the designer day is unbelievable.
“We are very grateful to all our supporters, customers or donators alike. The shops are the community face of the hospice. Please keep supporting them.”
They now need help to get their Glam and Glitz event underway in November. To help call Tracey on 01422 387117.
