Calderdale shoppers have the chance to win a cash prize of £400 for using some of Halifax’s town centre retailers.
All you need to do is complete the Christmas Shopping Crawl, collecting stamps from each of the participating retailers, and submit your entry by Monday December 17.
Michay Matthews, marketing and events manager at Marketing Halifax, who have organised the competition, said: “We wanted to support local people and local business at this special time of year, and what better way to do so than a Christmas Shopping Crawl. It not only encourages locals to re-explore the fantastic array of shops in Halifax, but also then rewards one lucky winner with the offer of a cash prize.
“There is so much to offer in the town centre, but so often people travel further afield to shop. I hope lots of people take this opportunity to get involved and re-familiarise themselves with what’s on their doorstep.
“There’s still a whole week left to go before the Christmas Crawl closes and with late night shopping available in town on Thursday nights as well there really is no reason why anyone can’t take part.”
To take part simply pick up one of the Christmas brochures available at all retailers in the Woolshops, Harveys of Halifax, the Tourist Information Centre, Halifax Central Library or any of the other participating retailers. Then visit each of the retailers listed on the Christmas Crawl Map and collect a stamp before submitting your entry.
Danny Manning, Store Manager at TDF Fashion said: It’s a great way to get new faces through the door and introduce ourselves and our products to people who might not have known about us or have been here before; and we gladly welcome any ideas that help to support us in what can be a difficult trading climate.”
