FORGET the Summer of Love, Hebden Bridge shopkeepers have geared up for a Winter of Window Wonderlands.

Shopkeepers across the town have put hours of love and creativity into making fabulous window displays to show they have got the Christmas spirit in a big way.

The Yorkshire Soap Co has welcomed snowmen while The White Room has gone for a modern twist with reindeer and cut-out trees.

There are trees, angels and stockings all lining Market Street.

Warren Booth, from the Yorkshire Soap Co, said: “We’ve all done it off our own backs but each year Market Street is just getting better and better.

“This year we have really pooled forces and really gone for it.”

He added: “It started off with just a few shops – and now it seems like everybody has upped their game.”

He said the window displays themselves were causing a stir, with many people stopping to take photographs and younger visitors getting swept up into the festive spirit.

Warren said: “Everybody feels that little bit more Christmassy, thanks to the windows,” said Warren.
