A community choir are calling on the public to help them hit the right notes as they prepare to celebrate the Tour de France coming to Calderdale.
The Longest Choir will consist of singers on the pavement along Cragg Road as cyclists from West Yorkshire revive, reminisce, and reach the top of the vale.
Songs will be provided by email for choirs to learn ready for the day: rounds, and songs that fit together, so that the singing travels along the choir and up the hill.
An open rehearsal will take place at Halifax Minster on May 31 from 10am to 12pm and is open to singers and choirs to learn the songs before the day of The Longest Choir on Saturday June 21.
The event has been organised by the Association of British Choral Directors, Cragg Vale Community Assocation, and Yorkshire Festival 2014.
