It was time to face the music for seven hopeful acts who took part in a live X-Factor show.

But pupils from Barkisland School didn’t have their fate decided by Louis, Tulisa, Kelly and Gary. Instead they were judged by a teacher, the school cook and the head teacher’s husband.

The annual Barkisland X-Factor final was held at the school, with pupils performing songs by JLS, The Wanted and Train.

The winning act was BCD, made up of Jack Taylor, Harry Nicholson and Henry Craven, who sang Party Rockers by LMFAO.

There was also an extra surprise, with an appearance by ‘Big Tony’ Adkins, the former bodyguard of X-Factor’s Simon Cowell.

The show ended with a blockbuster performance from all the acts, who sang The Beatles’ With A Little Help From My Friends.

Head Susan Sutton said: “It was a fantastic night.”
