Changes to parking has sparked uproar in a Halifax community.

Councillor John Hardy (Skircoat, Con) said the parking, largely caused by outside visitors of Calderdale Royal Hospital, has been displaced to free parking sites on Skircoat Moor Road.

Calderdale Royal’s director of planning, performance, estates, and facilities Lesley Hill said: “We are looking at a number of schemes to improve parking for both staff and patients including park and ride from the town centre and we are also looking at other locations which could be utilised for parking.”
