Former footballers Bryan Robson and Neil Ruddock proved a big hit at a VIP dinner at Bertie’s in Elland.
Former England and Manchester United captain Robson and ex-Liverpool defender Ruddock both gave speeches after the dinner last Friday evening, which was attended by a sell-out audience of 180 guests.
Stephen Oleksewycz, from organisers Olexyfresh Promotions, said: “It was a brilliant, it went really well.
“They both did a talk and, although they’re totally different characters, both went down really well.
“Neil was more like a comedian he was that funny.
“Bryan also had loads of great stories about Sir Alex Ferguson, Eric Cantona and Roy Keane.
“We also had a comedian, live music and an auction, and a percentage of the proceeds from that will be going to the Candlelight charity.”
