It’s pantomime time again and St John’s Church, Rastrick, is once again offering a laugh a minute, rib tickling evening of first class entertainment.

Over the last 40 years the pantomime society a, has been well known throughout Calderdale for putting on a show of first class entertainment for the whole family and it is promising that this year’s offering will once again be out of the top drawer.

This year the society has chosen the family favourite and much loved Cinderella, which will run in the church’s community hall from December 7 to 12.

Graham Readshaw, from the show’s production team, said: “It is a very funny script and a traditional panto to suit all the family with plenty of fun and frolics and will maintain its usual high standards of previous years,” said Graham.

Felicity Austin will play Cinderella, Reece Jones, will be Buttons, Eleanor Readshaw-Senior, the Prince and Aoife Maguire, Dandini.

The two ugly sisters, Listeria and Bacteria will be played by Elliot Austin and Neil Denham. Catherine Chippendale, and Sarah Clegg, are the hilariously funny duo Vatman and Robbing, and David Williams will bring his own inimitable funny man style to the role of Baron Stoneybroke with Ann Broadbent as Baroness Stoneybroke. Kylie, Dandini’s friend, is Charlotte Jones, the Fairy Godmother is played by Hannah Jones, the Herald, Oscar Elliott-Palmer and the Queen, Chloe Sanderson.
