Southampton v Leeds United: Grayson to select from strength

LEEDS United manager Simon Grayson has reported no new injury worries ahead of tomorrow's trip to face Southampton as his side look to build on the 4-1 midweek victory against Tranmere Rovers.

Richard Naylor returned from injury at Prenton Park and showed no ill-effects while Andrew Hughes was also fit after a bout of illness.

Loan defender Shane Lowry will not be involved as he has returned to parent club Aston Villa for closer examination of his knee injury. Lowry's stay at Elland Road is due to expire after the trip to the south coast

Striker Mike Grella will also miss the Saints trip due to injury.

Meanwhile, Grayson has insisted Andy Robinson still has a future at the League One club.

The 30-year-old midfielder last played for Leeds in their Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Grimsby in November.

"Robbo is still part of our plans, but other players are ahead of him now," said Grayson.

"He still has an opportunity to play his part this season. But he's been bypassed by other players and that happens in football."

Southampton manager Alan Pardew is refusing to give up on his side's play-off dream.

Last Saturday's surprise defeat at lowly Tranmere left Saints 16 points adrift of the top six with 13 games remaining.

But Pardew said: "We've still got a long way to go and we'll keep fighting. This team is growing and we understand situations like this are going to come and we need to react."
