A Brighouse primary school is celebrating a double success.
St Andrew’s CE Infant School was graded good by Ofsted after a two-day visit in February.
Then, just a few days later, the school was given “outstanding” in its statutory inspection of Anglican schools.
Head teacher Naomi Wood – in her first full year at the school – said: “It has been a long time since our last inspection in 2006 so we are extremely pleased that the inspectors have recognised St Andrew’s has continued to be such a good school.
“Staff, parents and governors have shown continued strong commitment and work hard to ensure each child’s needs are met. Staff work hard so all can succeed and achieve their full potential in a happy, safe Christian environment.”
The report highlighted the good behaviour of the children and said the school values all pupils, who feel safe and enjoy school.
“I am so pleased the report acknowledges the behaviour of the children.
“This is one of the many strengths of the school – children are always kind and considerate to each another.”
She added: “The two reports will help us to continue our drive to make the school even better.”
