A team of parents and carers from St Mary's Catholic Primary School have raised money for three charities with a sponsored walk.
A team of parents and carers from St Mary's Catholic Primary School have raised money for three charities with a sponsored walk.

A team of 15 parents and carers from St Mary’s Catholic Primary School have raised moe than £2,000 for three charities - Clic Sargeant, Cancer Research and Lymphoma Association - with a sponsored 17-mile walk.

Headteacher Mark Brennan said: “This was an enormous trial for all of us but it has been fantastic and is an experience none of us will forget for quite a while.”

The volunteers set off from the school at 9am and were back in time for a special assembley at 3pm, while pupils were able to follow the group’s progression along the route on the school website.
