The Stardom School of Performing Arts in Northowram have moved their Tour de France preparations into top gear with some cycling-inspired fundraising efforts.

Stardom principal Liz Davies cycled with a group of friends from London to Paris, raising £13,000 for the National Autistic Society.

Simon Carroll, a member of Stardom’s stage crew, cycled both Yorkshire stages of the Tour De France last month and raised over £3,000 for Marie Curie cancer care.

Liz, Simon and three friends also took part in rehearsals for the Tour De France team presentation ceremony at the Leeds Arena as stand-ins for the pro-riders and got to watch the event as a thank you from the organisers.
