Step into the wonderful world of books this Easter to meet characters, storytellers, illustrators and authors at Eureka.
The ‘Once Upon a Time’ event runs until Sunday, April 19.
The Eureka storytellers will invite visitors to Tell a Tale Together in interactive story-making sessions where they will create a unique tale every time.
Each day will welcome different well-known literary characters, so you never know who you could meet as you explore the grounds and galleries.
And from Friday, April 10, to Monday, April 13, there will be a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alice in Wonderland with Storymagic Theatre, who will run their unique family shows.
The children’s museum is also hosting its own mini literature festival as part of the event, with a programme of appearances from children’s writers and illustrators sharing their inspiring, creative work with visitors, including 2015 Blue Peter Book Awards winner Andy Seed.
The sessions are designed to inspire families to use stories and book in their play and learning at home
Sessions will be bookable on the day, and are free with standard admission or a Eureka annual pass.
