MORRISONS will shell out £88,000 to make their proposed supermarket in Elland more accessible for cyclists.
Calderdale Council planning committee agreed a report which asked Morrisons, who plans to build at Wistons Lane, to pay the money as part of a section 106 agreement.
The scheme was given backing by councillors last month, subject to approval from the Secretary of State.
Officers had asked the supermarket chain to pay £37,500 towards a segregated cycle route along the southbound A629 and £51,250 towards improving the environment and access for pedestrians.
The report was given approval at a Calderdale Council planning committee meeting on Tuesday.
